Copywriting & Branding

My turnaround times vary and will be discussed prior to our starting a project. If you’ve got a firm deadline, please let me know prior to beginning the project. 

I believe in hitting deadlines but will need your help in order to do so. I cannot be responsible for any delays caused as a result of a late or absent payment or if you are slow to supply materials or information necessary for me to complete the work. Additionally, I cannot be held responsible for deadlines missed due to circumstances completely beyond my control (acts of God, family or personal emergencies etc.). My deadlines are firm, but I allow some flexibility.

For copywriting and branding projects, I work primarily through a secure project management software system, though we will be in touch via Skype or telephone for your initial consultation. The reasons for these are many, but most importantly, it allows me to maintain a written transcript of our dealings to refer back to as I work. Our initial point of contact will be via telephone or Skype, and thereafter we will be in contact regularly via email throughout the duration of the project for progress checkpoints and to touch base.

COPYWRITING

Because ours is a fixed-price agreement or a project rate, I do have to limit the time I spend rewriting and editing. My copywriting services include an initial draft and two subsequent revisions. I allow these revisions at no additional charge, provided they are changes made after the copy has been approved. Revisions beyond that will be subject to hourly rates. Any phone consultations outside the original agreement are also billed at my consulting rate, currently $400 per hour.

When it comes to copywriting clients, I will not be beholden to branding or personality ideas that weren’t fully shaped prior to signing on with me. What that means is, come to me ready to do the writing. I am not going to help you discover who you are throughout the process. That’s well outside the scope of this agreement.

By publishing the work online or in print, you agree that you are satisfied fully with the work and no further revisions will be offered. Should any changes need to be made in the future, they’ll be billed at my hourly rate.

You are entitled to one of the final drafts of your choice and not to all of the drafts I provide you with. This is the case with any and all copy, business name suggestions, and business tagline suggestions.

I trust and believe in the fact that you will make every effort to be respectful and ethical, and I promise the same. Everything you share with me will remain in the strictest of confidence. This includes passwords, business plans, ideas, thoughts, and correspondence.

Your invoice will arrive upon agreeing to work together. Due to the nature of the services and the fact that they are customized and intangible, I require full payment up front on all projects. Because I set aside this time for your project, I am foregoing other client work during this window. For this reason, there are no refunds offered.

If additional work is required, you will be notified beforehand and billed the remainder at the end of the project. I will send an estimate first. Once I have received full and final payment as described in our agreement, copyright of all of the work I have produced for you is automatically assigned to you.

I accept payment through Stripe, Paypal, and Venmo. 

Because I value authenticity above all else in business, I take great pride in differentiating you from the competition. Your finished project will be unique to you. I will do my best to ensure that my work does not coincidentally infringe upon the rights of any third party or existing copyrights. However, I cannot be liable to you, or any third party, for damages, including any perceived or actual lost savings and/or profits, claims or complaints, litigation or other incidental, consequential or special damages which may arise regarding your project. I am unable to assume any responsibility whatsoever for your business performance or any loss of business.

Consulting

By committing to consulting sessions with me you are agreeing that you are emotionally and financially committed to our work together. You also understand that any and all consulting session(s) must be used within 6 months of purchase unless prior arrangements have been made. Our work together is designed to garner productive and powerful results. You understand however that there are absolutely no guarantees in life and that our work together will not necessarily result in increased profits, better exposure, or increased success. The harder you work the better my suggestions will work for you. I will do my best to position you and your business for success. The rest is up to you.
